The first step is to schedule a video consultation with Dr. Kullberg to go over your chief concerns and goals with Invisalign. After the call, you will secure your discount with a fully refundable $89 deposit and schedule a visit to the office for Data Collection, where iTero scans, x-rays and pictures are taken so your treatment plan can be developed. Once approved, you will receive your first set of aligners. Dr. Kullberg will then regularly monitor the movement of your teeth.

Invisalign® aligners are made of BPA-free clear, flexible plastic. The company received a patent for this material called SmartTrack® to be used exclusively for Invisalign treatment purposes. These aligners are FDA approved and nearly invisible!

It is recommended to wear your retainers after Invisalign® treatment for as long as you want to keep the smile you just achieved and love. You must wear your aligners all the time, 24/7. You will wear them while eating/drinking, sleeping, daytime and nighttime. Only take them out after eating to clean and brush your teeth.

You can eat anything you want, but yellow food dyes (found in turmeric, mac & cheese and mustard) will stain the trays a highlighter yellow color. It is important to brush your teeth and the aligners after you eat.

Like any orthodontic treatment, there is a short adjustment period. The more you speak with the aligners on, the quicker you will adjust.

There will be some pressure and minor discomfort for a day or two after each initial insertion. This is a sign that your teeth are moving sequentially into their final position.

You will be wearing your aligners all the time, so it will be difficult to chew gum as it can stick to the aligners.

We discourage smoking with aligners as the cigarette smoke will tend to discolor them.

There are many ways to clean the aligners. Brushing them with toothpaste will keep them fresh and clean. You can also soak them in warm water with Invisalign crystals or denture cleaning tablets. Tabletop ultrasonic cleaners can also be purchased on Amazon.

After attachments are placed on the teeth during the first visit, you will visit the office 1-3 times to ensure that your Invisalign treatment is progressing as planned.

Yes, you need retainers. All orthodontic patients are instructed to wear their retainers at night indefinitely. Sleeping with your retainers in at night will ensure a healthy bite and maintain the new position of your teeth.
